Our mission

Choosing where to get medical care in an unfamiliar country is stressful, and most of the information online is either an advertisement or out of date. ToChinaMed exists to give international patients honest, practical information about hospitals, costs, and the realities of getting treatment in China — with no agencies and no middlemen taking a cut.

Where our data comes from

Our hospital rankings draw on publicly recognised sources such as the Fudan University Hospital Rankings, together with publicly available hospital information. We summarise and organise this information for an international audience. Rankings reflect the methodology of their original publishers and are provided for general guidance.

Our independence

ToChinaMed is an independent publisher. We are not a hospital, a government body, a medical agency, or a broker, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of the hospitals we describe. We do not receive commissions for referrals.
