Founder & Editor, ToChinaMed
Henry Chen is the founder and editor of ToChinaMed. He started the site to help international patients do one hard thing well: navigate China's hospital system without getting lost in language barriers, confusing registration desks, and payment systems built for domestic cards.
Most information online about getting treated in China is either an advertisement from an agency or out of date. Henry built ToChinaMed as an independent resource — no middlemen, no referral commissions — focused on the practical questions real patients ask: which hospital is actually strong for my condition, what will it roughly cost, and how do I get through the door without speaking Mandarin.
Every article is researched from publicly recognised sources — including the Fudan University Hospital Rankings, official hospital information, public health data, and peer-reviewed medical studies — then summarised and rewritten in plain English for an international audience. The aim is always clarity and honesty over hype.
